Lot shows in map view but then disappears when loaded

I've just spent 2 hours building a new lot on the "Casita Del Amor lot in Ciudad Enamorada. I shut the game down for a while before returning to finish the build. The lot I built is showing when I load the map view of the world but when I click on the lot and enter in build mode the lot reverts back to the default build that released with the game.

I have tried the following without success:

1. Recovering the save to an earlier version
2. Removing all mods
3. Clearing cache and restarting the game
4. "Saving as" to create a new save
5. Entering the lot in live mode in both the old and new saves

Can anyone help please?
