After asking a partner to just be friends, satisfaction is still tracked, and I still receive warnings that my partner is dissatisfied and we will break up, even though I have not spoken to the sim in about two weeks and the relationship has ended. When I try to repair the relationship, the option is greyed out.
Sometimes one of my sims will ask a romantic partner to "Ask to Just Be friends" (under Relationship/Change Relationship), even though both are "Very Satisfied" and the pink romance bar is full. The pink romance bar will empty and they are now "Just Good Friends". But, the satisfaction level is still shown in the two profiles, which causes problems (like yours). Here's what works for me: After the sim has requested to Just Be friends (and they are shown as Just Good Friends, the pink bar is empty, but their satisfaction level is still shown), have the sim repeat the action. The sim will first need to get pink in the bar showing again in order to do this. Have the sim perform one or two flirty actions to get a little bit of pink into the bar. Once there is a little bit of pink in the bar again, have the sim repeat the action of Ask to Just Be Friends again. This time the satisfaction level will disappear (the attraction level stays, as usual) and the romance bar will be empty again. Voila, done! So, if the satisfaction level doesn't disappear for the sims the first time they Ask to Just Be Friends, get a little pink into the romance bar and repeat Ask to Just Be Friends. It works for me without any repercussions. Both are now Just Good Friends with no problems. I hope I have helped. Happy simming!
