Married couple won’t sleep in the same bed
Yes, I know there are several threads. I tried all of them. Nothing works. They are definitely married spouses. There is nothing around the bed. I am so frustrated. Please help.

@KasualLeigh1 Can you please tell us what you've tried? I will list a few things to start with that could cause this, but it would certainly help to know what you've tried. Thanks
- Is their relationship at least 50% in both relationship and romance?
- Did you create them married (in CAS), were they married and came with game/from Maxis, or did you have them get married?
- Did they ever sleep in the same bed for you?
- What packs do you own?
- When did this start?
- Do you have Mods/CC?
- What are their traits?
- Did either have an affair?
- Do you have this issues with other couples in the game?
- What happens when you direct them to have romantic interactions then click the bed and direct them to WooHoo?
- Can they sleep in the bed?
- Did you try with a different bed in the middle of a room?
- Did you try getting them flirty first? (They could Serenade each other for this - first one, then the other.)
- Depending on what packs you have did you try the closet Woohoo (closet from "Get Together"), in the potty/party bush (from "Get Together") or shower WooHoo (closet from "Discover University")?
- @SheriGR and @KasualLeigh1, I have noticed that since the last update you can also appoint a side in the bed where your Sims can sleep. When the bed is appointed to another Sim it can not be occupied by anyone else. So, @KasualLeigh1, also please check if the spouses have an appointed side in the bed.
@KasualLeigh1, @SheriGR , and @Trismagistos , so far I have not had this problem since the bed assignments and functionality were changed with the recent updates (both for Discover University and Tiny Living). But then again, I have not played much with a married couple sharing a bed since those 2 packs were released. 🤔 Maybe I have just been lucky so far. 🤔😃 It is very much possible, but I haven't had it happen to me yet! 😉
The first thing I thought of is one of the things that @SheriGR mentioned ... are your Sims married? But I see that you said they are certainly married, so that shouldn't be your problem! I can't tell you how many times I forgot to change their relationship in CAS to married, so the game just counted them as roommates, which lowers their friendship levels and eliminates their romance levels.😞 If this the case for someone with a similar problem, then either get them married (by a cheat or through gameplay) or else just up both of their relationship levels so that they will share a bed. 🙂
But since this is not your case, then you can try a few more things (in addition to those that @SheriGR mentioned):1) see if they can sleep together in another house (like on vacation), or as a last resort you can try moving them to another house.
2) paly another couple in another house to see if they have the same problem
3) play another Save Game file to see if the problem is just with that particular save.
Unless of course you play with Mods/CC , which then you need to move your Mods folder to your desktop, delete the localthumbcache.package file , and repair your game in Origin and then check to see if this problem still occurs, as you might have outdated CC or Mods, which means that you need to remove the old, broken Mod or CC item and replace it with a new fixed one.

I made them and marked them as married in create a Sim.
I've never had this problem before.
The moment they moved in they couldn't share a bed.
The left right thing doesn't matter, they both just sleep on the same side for some reason.
They don't sleep in the bed when the other person is in the bed.
They can't woohoo in the bed. They have to woohoo in a bush like animals.
I've tried 3 different beds.
I don't have any CC's or mods.
I have most expansions. I just brought University and Tiny house before I started this play through.
Their relationship is 100 for everything. They've never had an affair.
They're brand new married some dude.this shouldn't be happening.
I've restarted the game. I've updated the game. I've repaired the game in origin.
@KasualLeigh1 Thank you for the information. It is very helpful. I have a few questions/ things I would like you to try and let me know what happens.
- Can you direct each of them to nap on each side of the bed successfully (where they actually do it)?
- Did you try moving the bed in the middle of a room with nothing around it?
- It is unusual that they are both sleeping only on one side of the bed. Please hover over the bed to make sure the bed assignment 'took' (it should show a pop-up that shows them each assigned a side).
- Can you please take a screenshot of the bed, preferably with this hover-assignment pop-up showing?
- Please go to the world/town view mode and enter 'Manage Households'. Please save this household to your library 'Manage Households'. Now go to the Main Menu and start a new save. In this new save place this couple from your library into a pre-made/default home there. Assign them each a side on the double bed in the home. Hover over the bed to make sure the bed assignment 'took' (it should show a pop-up that shows them each assigned a side). Their relationship will come in from the library at 50% in romance and relationship. Have them do interactions to raise it a bit. Then see if when you click on the bed and direct them to 'WooHoo' that they will do so.
@KasualLeigh1, Thank you so much for clarifying what is going on in your game and what you have tried so far! in addition to what @SheriGR suggested, you can also try:
1) see if they can sleep together in another house (like on vacation), or as a last resort you can try moving them to another house.
2) paly another couple in another house to see if they have the same problem
3) play another Save Game file to see if the problem is just with that particular save.
