Mouse recording issue

Mouse Cursor issue

I make videos of the sims 4 using Clipchamp Screen recording. I usually don't have a problem but I noticed lately when I'm done recording and I check the results, my mouse shows up on my recording, totally ruining it. I don't understand why when I use Tab mode and check the recording the mouse is there. This never used to happen. Is anyone else having this mouse glitch problem and does anyone know how to fix it?

That sounds more like an issue with your screen recording software capturing the user interactions. Do they have a forum you can ask the same question in ?
  • I just tried it again this morning and it's still acting up. I have used Clipchamp for all my prior recordings and never had this issue before therefore, I believe it is a Sims 4 issue. When I tried it this morning and I hit tab, I noticed for a moment the cursor appeared. That is not supposed to happen in tab mode and of course, the recording showed the cursor the whole time again. so annoying. I have seen people have issues with their cursors not showing up on Sims4 before. Unfortunately, it seems I have the opposite issue, it's showing up when it shouldn't.

  • I used to use Clipchamp to record my screen and was unhappy that it did not record the mouse cursor. A few weeks ago (early March 2023) they released a new version which now does record the mouse cursor. Only problem for me is that it records the cursor + many cursor echoes. So one can see 6+ pointers at the same time and this makes the recording unusable.

Anyway, in your case, I am pretty sure that Clipchamp made some changes and that's why you're now see a mouse cursor in your recordings.

This is not an issue with sims 4. I have the same issue trying to record Minecraft with clipchamp. But I don't know how to fix it
