I can't open up game options or anything i can't make any changes because of this. It was fine until i updated. Yall need to tell me what's going on cause something is always messing up this game with these freaking updates. Bad enough alot of stuff is still not yet fixed. Now I can't even use my game options. Get it together!
If you use mods/cc,try moving the whole mods folder to another place, delete the localthumbcache.package and then test to see if the issue remains without mods/cc there.
Where do you move mods folder? Or do you rename it?
Cerity1 Either works. It doesn't matter where you move it to. I use my desktop to make it easy to fine.

Question, if I delete the mods folder. All my mods are from Curse forge. Can I upload again
Cerity1 Yes, you can get the mods again. But you still have them! They're all in the folder you just moved. The game will make a fresh folder when you start it up to see if Game Options opens.
Also, see the pinned Broken and Updated Mods and CC list. You can subscribe to it for notifications.
Mine is the same way. I keep getting save errors and when I try a new save it gets stuck in the loading from create a sim. So tired of Sims 4 updates messing up the game and making it unplayable. I don't even play with mods or custom content. Hopefully there's a new update soon that actually fixes everything instead of breaking more things. Until then guess I won't be playing.

I deleted the mods folder on my desk top/nothing. I restarted the game same black screen. I do not know what MODS are broken how can you tell?
