Did you at any point use Mods/CC in this save? Broken mods can permanently damage a save. Do you have any problems creating a new game?
i just started using mods for the first time 2 months ago, i was using during this save: Adult Mods. i took them all out the documents folder and i still couldn't load the save, but the only mod that had an update since i've started using them was Adult Mod and i updated it a month ago so can it still break a save?
i was able to create a new sim, move them in and play a little with no issues.
