I started my game this evening and all of a sudden all of the pets coats in my sim's family have turned fully pitch black.
I have tried disabling mods and CC's and restarting but it won't switch back. Also tried modifying in CAS but when I click another colour for example brown it says black, despite the brown colour being selected.
How do I fix this?
Good to know. I really hope this is not going to be required after the fix though. I feel this looks to be an issue with the custom paint being seen as 'null' hence why it's black with no lighting what-so-ever.
I am happy I have at least one family without custom painted pets but I would hate to have to go completely vanilla/no custom painted sims.
I'm having the same issue with my sims that have painted tattoos, pets with custom fur and werewolves with custom fur - the only way I have been able to get my sims/ pets to return to normal is by clicking on the little (x) next to custom paint.
That should hopefully return your sims/ pet to normal. However your pet will lose it's custom paint and will return to the default fur you selected when creating your pet which is a bit annoying but is much better than having a void as a pet in your household!!
