My Sims 4 family tree has disappeared

I am having an issue in-game where multiple generations of my tree have been disconnected from eachother and I'm not sure why.

I have all my main sims in urns and I am just so confused as to why. Entire branches of my tree have become disconnected and several ancestors have vanished.

My once 32 generation family tree that took me 5 years to build is now destroyed.

Can someone help me please??

  • The same thing has happened to me, one of my sims had died and his side of the family tree (when you click on him) disappeared.

The same for me! Apparently this is called culling. There are several solutions I've found, but none of them worked for me.

    1. Set a maximum number of Sims as "unlimited"
    2. MCCC mode where you can ask Sims to never be culled. (I have Mac and don't use mods)
    3. Interact with an urn or their tombstone from time to time so the ghost does not go on.
    4. What I am currently doing is making all the dead Sims ghosts and gathering them in several households I never play with. (Thanks to "Life & Death" pack). Basically, they stay in the tree as ghosts, but it's annoying they are occupying slots.

If there is a working solution, I would like to find out more! Because now if you change to play some time with one household, basically the sims from your other households disappear after a while...
