Okay, a moderator has merged all the conversations regarding the new pie menu, so now it has become a discussion where both those who like it and those who don't can compare notes.
I personally like it very much, it just needs to be fixed up a bit. Before it was really tiring to have to constantly click on friendly interactions to find the one you want. Having said that, I continue to post pictures of suggestions to fix some entries that were not oppurtunately included in any menu.
Give emotional support (a special conversation topic for married Sims who fullfill the Soulmate aspiration) would be better in Friendly>Affection
I want start by saying I don't have Growing Together, so I may be having a different experience and seeing bugs that other ppl in this thread might not be.
For example, I and other people who have not bought GT have the 'Ask about day' social replaced with 'Check in on', it's game breaking, and needs to be fixed asap (there's a thread in bug reports already about this).
I also like having conversation grouped, but I don't like that the 'Small Talk' appears last and is bumped to the 'More Choices' menu if a sim has any additional conversation options. Having the most used conversation option in the 'more choices' menu is just so unnecessary.
Also, some conversation options disappear. Yesterday I was trying to fill a want with a geek sim, something about 'debate best captains' and it just wasn't in the pie menu. I tried to fill this want several times, checked through all the categories, and it just wasn't there. It had been an option, but when I needed it to fill a want it wasn't there.
The new joke is rude. 'Joke about family heritage' can be misinterpreted in so many ways. I really don't like it. Also, I don't understand why single sims need to talk about 'family drama'.
I just want to add that the initial suggested conversation wheel-thing that happens when a sim starts a conversation used to be a wonderfully coded and intuitive work of art. For example, Magic Users got all three of their socials in it all the time when starting a conversation with another RoM occult. It always seemed intuitive in other ways. It had at least one relevant interaction from all the conversation types, even if they weren't appropriate. I would like to see the way the game prioritized what interactions would appear in the initial conversation suggestions put back.
Here's a bonus pic of Vladislaus at a retail lot getting the 'Check in with' option with a sim he just met and wants to bite.
