No romantic interactions

YES!!! it’s because if you go back to CAS and look at their info, it just says “household partner”. like it must reset every time or it’s not saving because i’ve manually went in and changed my couples to “partner” or “spouse” with the romance dynamic of “steamy” and then BAM! they’re acting like strangers and having negative interactions if i try to have them even kiss or flirt! it’s from the last update and i’m on console. i’m glad i found someone else who has this problem

did your sims turn into siblings ? 

zahnbie_island​ what do you mean by household partner ? You should still be able to have romantic interactions. Is your menu missing like for OP or are you reporting something different ?

No I have made sure they aren’t siblings 

There could be so many reasons. Do you have this for just this couple ? Did you check the sexual preferences ?

Did you check the family tree or the profile ? Not sure if the false sibling shows in the family tree but you should see the bit when you check the profile.

I just don’t have the romance option in general throughout the game no matter who I play with, even if I use MC to cheat relationship it still does not show up and there’s no indication of any familiar relationships both in profiles and family tree

If its' all couple, please try renaming your user folder and test on a fresh save.

Try the following

- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
- Repair the game
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. 
- Start a new save game
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

That worked! how would I get my old saved back

You can now start to copy back things from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old to the new Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder that was created.

First only copy (I suggest to copy so you can go back in case anything goes wrong along the way) the content of the folder Saves (these are your save games). If you are prompted if want to overwrite a save, decide if you want to keep that testing save you just made or not. If not, just overwrite if, if you want to keep it, rename the save to a different number that isn't taken.

Test just your save game with nothing else added back. If that works, you can start copying back the rest. If not, check back.

You will need the following folders

- Tray (your households and lots you have saved to library)- Custom Music (if you added any)
- Screenshots (if you've taken any)
- Videos (if you've taken any)
- ConfigOverride (if you made any although I recommend redoing those)
- Options(.ini) (although I recommend to just redo your settings in the game)

Now test again. If that still works, you can put back your mods. Put them back in groups and make sure they are still compatible with the game.

All other files are recreated and not needed.
