People Misuse the Spark'd Challenge

Yeah, I understand that the submissions aren't going to be considered, it's like you said, the annoyance of having to weed through pages upon pages of trash just cause you wanna look at people's real entries, it's incredibly taxing for me with ADHD.

@Chiligoat , @SqueamishNerd , @EuphorialQueen , and @Rachelharris31 , the sad part is that people who want to vote on good entries to the contest are probably going to get really tired of scrolling down through garbage entries and therefore never get to the legitimate entries. 😢  That means less votes for the legitimate entries, except for those entered right before the deadline, so that they are the first to load on the Spark'd page in the Gallery. ☹️  I got tired and I'm sure I didn't even scratch the surface.  (This still might have been the case even without the bogus entries, but it is made far, far worse with all the the entries that can't even qualify!  😞 )

Now that we have a new Spark'd challenge I took a look at how good people are on following rules this time around.

My conclusion: It's a disaster. Only about 20% (I looked at the top 100 in each of the sorting-categories) of the stylist entries are following the rules. That's 1 out of 5 of the entries following the rules. It's so annoying that I can't just report them for not following the rules.

I want to upload an entry myself, but I just feel like no one will see it due to all the challenge-misuse entries taking over the place. It's also very annoying that if I want to look at, for example, 20 rule-following entries I have to also look at 80 challenge-misuse entries.

Yes it's happening again haven't looked today but when I had a look yesterday I just gave up.

@Rachelharris31 and @SqueamishNerd , it is likely a problem that is too hard to prevent.  😞😭  I was hoping for an improvement, but no such luck.  😩

@AprilTheSimmer96 , houses are OK as long as they are houses designed to be used by elder Sims! 🙂 That is the Builders part of the challenge.  So that should be within the rules.  But you are right about adult and young adults shouldn't be entered in the challenge unless elders are part of the family.  The rules state the the elder or elders have to be the focus of the family!  👵👴

Today I was called gatekeeper on Twitter because I asked the The Sims account if there was a way to report entries that aren’t following the Spark’d rules. 😂 Maybe this is how the challenge-misusing people see it: If they can’t participate without following the rules that must mean that they’re not allowed to be a part of the The Sims fandom/community. 🙃

@SqueamishNerd , I would think that the problem is so rampant that it would be a full time effort 😞 for you or someone else  to report all of the illegitimate entries and then it would take just as long or longer for EA/Maxis to go through all the reports.🤨  But then again they have to go through all the entries anyway (unless they just go through the top voted ones 🤔 )  But I would expect these false entries to continue if there aren't any real repercussions to not following the rules. 🤔
