Perfect Plants And Fertilizer

I would like to know if you need to keep fertilizing your plants once they are perfect.  I have Seasons, and when plants are not in season I am still fertilizing them even when they are dormant and they are perfect.  Can I stop doing this?  It makes sense to fertilize a plant, even if it is perfect, when it is in season.  But the dormant plants?  I have searched everywhere, and nobody seems to know the answer to this question.  I have a huge garden with over 100 plants and trees, and I would really like to know.  I feel like I am wasting fertilizer.

If it works in your game, even without Seasons, it should work in mine.  Do your plants ever go dormant? You know, like how a plant does not bloom every day.  This will save my Sims tons of time.  It takes a long time to fertilize over 100 plants, even just doing a quarter of the garden at a time.

@hbh1541230 You need to fertilize them only to increase the quality, once they reached the Perfect quality you can stop. This is valid for both in season plants and out of season/dormant plants.

@hbh1541230 I have Seasons and no you don't need to keep fertilising them after they are perfect. Yes now you mention it, since the last patch I get the occasional dormant day when my plants don't bloom. I'm just glad the dirt pile problem isn't still driving me up the wall.

I just did a huge fertiliser experiment after Horse Ranch was released. I was testing manure vs other fertiliser. I have the weirdest little page of testing info in my notes app. Dog poop proved to be just as good as horse manure.

Side note, funny story I decided to sell Horse Manure as fertiliser in my gardening stores...only to find It's not bagged when placed on a retail store shelf. So I quickly changed my mind!

Thanks very much for your assistance everyone! This will save my Sims so much time, and it means more plants I can sell for profit! I really appreciate the help.  This was driving me crazy.
