Play Sims 4 without Updating

I have not played the game in over a year. I just switched from Origin to EA app because I had no choice. I think my current game version is from April of 22. I really do not want to update. I set EA to offline mode and tried to start the game and got a message stating that some of the files are corrupted and the game needs to be repaired. The last time I played in Origin there were no corrupted files. If I click that repair button, will my game be updated so my mods don't work anymore? Is there any way to avoid updating the game? Thanks.

    Unfortunately there is no altenative.

Yes - your game will be updated if you start the repair process.
Yes - mods won't work anymore and have to be updated or removed if no update is available for them.
No - there is no way to avoid updating if you have to go online for certain procedures like repairing your game.

You can play offline with the EA app and avoid updates for a longer time range, but when you have to go online because of repairing (in your case) or adding new content, your game will be patched to the current version.
