Played Sims from one save to another

I'm currently doing a legacy challenge and I'm already on gen 3, but I want to put all 3 gens (like, the entire family tree), to a new save file so I can have more townies. I can't figure out how and I don't wanna transfer my gen 3 sims to another file and for them to just have no family or friends.

  • @trschaiper  The problem is, if you save your sims to the in-game library and place them in a new save, they'll lose their relationships with anyone not saved with them.  There's no way around this, although with mods, you could recreate relationships after the move.

If you want more townies, why don't you just place them in your existing save?  You could download sims from the Gallery, or you could start a new save, look around for sims you like (and that aren't already in the family tree), save them to the library, and place them in your existing save.  There's also an in-game setting to allow sims to fill empty homes, if you're fine with the game itself choosing who to move into town.

  • @trschaiper Only way is through the library and that makes you loose relationships.

You can put up to 8 Sims in one household, then save that to the library and save to a new game, then have them move out if you want them in single households. That's all the relationships you can save though.
