I think this is all of them copied straight from my notes, you get the picture anyway. So like I said, I do get what you are saying. I know there are so many variables. I have over 50 add-ons and so the combinations are all different and I'm sure fixing the bugs is a really complex issue. I barely remember the coding I learned at school so I'm sure it's not straightforward work, but I'd like more priority given to bug fixes and I've said that maaany many times!
- 3 years ago@simsplayer818 Thanks for replying! It's awesome that you keep a list of your bugs. Deciding to keep a list of my own is one of the reasons I made this thread.
Going through your list reminded me of several I had forgotten on my own. As well, it could be that I could have many unknown bugs as well.
Your list delves deep into various packs that I just don't explore. Like, who knows if my game bugs out with pet interactions, as I haven't had a pet in my household for a few years :P
Are there a couple you could elaborate on so I can compare them with my own bugs? Genetics babies, CAS bugged.
Also, not sure if it's widely known about the mixology certificate, but I've found that giving it as a gift to someone is a good workaround.- simsplayer8183 years agoHero@slytheringoddes Yes I'm happy to explain my rough notes lol. So the CAS bug is this one https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-PS-XB-Sim-randomly-wearing-Makeup/td-p/10205737
It's probably the most disruptive one for me and it means I can't use the sliders for skin tones or the mac make up. It causes my Sims, including toddlers to be plastered in weird neon makeup, even though it's not supposed to be possible for toddlers and for them you can't remove it. I even got a German Shepherd that was bright glowing white as a result.
The babies genetics one has an open thread on here too but I can't find it at the moment. That one means that all my Sims babies are of a totally different colour to their parents. It didn't bother me massively as they were still little cutie pies and I usually adopt babies anyway but I added my Me Too to that thread for the devs anyway just so they know how many players are affected.
With so many bugs I usually keep email links open to the main bug threads I'm involved in as well because I always lose them. There is a compiled list of reported bugs page where you can check all the bugs though.
I'm really hoping this new big update will fix some of the major issues because I'm missing playing my game, but as it is it was driving me crazy so I took a break. I got a new console for my birthday which doesn't play the Sims so I thought ok I'll just play Sims on a weekend, but going back to it from a different game just highlighted the problem. Going from a game with zero bugs back to wanting to smash something...! So I thought ok, I'll wait for the next big update and cross my fingers it's a big bug fix. I've been playing the Sims since the Sims 1, I've played every version and this is the buggiest, but then it is also the biggest as far as I know.- simsplayer8183 years agoHero
Managed to track down the baby genetics thread for you incase you've not seen it so here it is https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-SAVES-Issues-with-Skin-Tone-Genetics-Patch-1-69-59/td-p/9874066/page/3 turned out I was looking in the wrong section for it while half asleep like a doofus!
That's one thing I always forget with using the forum, and I've used it for a few years now! So you have to search from the Sims 4 home menu in the right section. If you're reading the General Discussions and Feedback thread and do a search it won't show all the bug reports results too, you'd have to search the Bug Reports section. I know this, and yet I still absent mindedly do it anyway!
Also for sheer comedy value I attach an image of my bugged German Shepherd! There was nothing I could do for poor Cosmo I couldn't fix him so he was deleted and happily recreated without the spooky alien type glow!
