Property Owner loses properties after moving in with another Sim

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.103.250.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All EPs, GPs, SPs, and two kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a property owner Sim own residential rentals, and then move in with another Sim platonically or through marriage onto another lot.
What happens when the bug occurs? When property owners move into another lot through joining a household in another lot via being friends and moving in or marrying them and moving in to their house / residential rental. They lose their ownership of their resdential rental lots.
What do you expect to see? For property owners to still keep their properties when moving in with another sim
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

So i had my landlord marry a tenant who lived on another lot that he owns, but when he moved into the other lot he lost all his residential rental lots. I've done multiple tests and figured out what the causes of losing properties when moving.

If the landlord moves into another residential or apartment by themselves, they're fine and still have their properties. But if they move into another household aka being really good friends with them and moving in, or by having high romance, marrying them, and then moving into their household, it's then when they lose their ownership of their properties.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that if the landlord moves in with a tenant who lives on the same lot they're living on, it's fine as they're technically on the same lot. It's only when moving into another household on a different lot does it break the ownership.

  • @WizardJeremyArch Pretty sure this is the way all owned businesses work in Sims 4 - retail, vet clinics, restaurants, and now rentals. The businesses aren’t actually attached to the specific Sim, but rather to the household. So if you move your entire household in with another one you are essentially deleting that household as an entity - losing businesses it owns - and merging the Sims from it into the other household. So if you want your landlord to marry a tenant, you need the tenant to move in with the landlord, not the other way around. Once the households are merged you should be able to move them out of the landlord’s original home to wherever you want.
