Putting Game and DLC on new computer

@mel2691 Your packs are owned by your account, not your computer. So when you're ready to reinstall, just sign into the same EA account you're using now, and everything should be available to download, for free.

If you want to preserve your saves and other user data (saved households and builds, mods and custom content, items downloaded from the Gallery, etc.), make a copy of the Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts and store it elsewhere, for example on an external drive. I'd suggest zipping it first: right-click and select Send to > Compressed (zip) file. This can help prevent damage to the files during the transfer.
