Question Marks on Sim

Hi There!

I did the required update that was requested for my game and upon opening, I saw that the male sim in my household has question marks all over him. In addition to the question marks his skin is also a mixture of black, red and yellow. He appears to be the only sim affected, I am only playing this household however I did check into a couple other pre-made households to see if the same issue was occurring, but everything there seems fine. I also checked the CAS but everything seems to load fine there as well. I have no CC, and have 3 expansions (Get To Work, Romantic Garden Stuff and Dream Home Decorator.) Has anyone else experienced this? Was the issue able to be resolved or will I have to start over from scratch?

Thank you for any help!

  • @BlueIrishEyes13 Did you ever have any cc/mods you removed ? If not, did you download that SIm for the gallery or create yourself ?

You say in CAS they everything is fine, does that mean he doesn't have them there ?
  • Hi Crin!

Thank you so much for your response.

To answer your questions no, I have never had any mods or CC in my game. The sim in question was actually a pre made sim within the world (Johnny Zest) he and my sim (custom) fell in love, married and merged households (he moved into the house I built.) As mentioned before, everything was running completely fine up until aforementioned update.

In regards to CAS if I go in to create a brand new sim, everything appears as it should. However, if I go to edit the affected male sim (for example to change a hairstyle) it will change the style of the hair, but the question marks and colouring remains the same (still appears as yellow, red and black.)

When I enter into the house his face is presented with the question marks and odd colours, however before clicking on the household (if you hover over in manage world mode) he appears as he did prior to this.

I really hope this explains things cohesively, if you need any images for clarification I can attach a screenshot.

Thank you again for your time!
