Re: Can go Upstairs, but not Down.
I have tried making a loose recreation of the relevant parts of your home.
- Please note that in some circumstances a sim will route into an area that is too small for them to exit or that is blocked for their exit. It's strange and illogical, but I've had it happen. When testing it's always good to make sure they can use an item/area both by entering and by successfully exiting the area, which you noticed in this case showed it was not routable.
- I found that to place that bed in the position you have it I would need to use moo, as you see in my screenshot. The red when trying to place there tells us that it would likely not be routable if you placed the bed there. The warning comes where the bed is that close to the stairs. If you move the bed over to the wall furthest from the stairs the sim may be able to route properly (see screenshot).
- You will not be able to get a sim to route around to the other side of a double bed in that small of a room with a stairway involved. Stairs need floor clearance in front of them to be placed and to be routable. Forced placement near them (by using moo) can easily make them unusable. You might as well use a single bed and get more space in the room.
- It's possible that the roof is interfering, as my roof didn't behave like yours with walls down, so I don't think my reproduction was the same as yours in that aspect. If you end up needing more roof clearance you can create more 'roof orbs' (the circle adjustor handle) for adjustment by selecting the roof and click 'Shift + C'. This will allow just a bit more adjustment by adding more orbs.
- If you still find the roof is obstructing you can confirm whether that was the issue by creating an entire 2nd floor with walls just to test if this is routable to confirm whether the roof is the issue.
Let us know how it goes, please. Thanks!
