Re: Can you copy parts of a build and paste it onto another?

@n0t_flora Hello! I really wish we had the option to "save house" but we don't. :-( That would be an excellent feature to have though. I think your best option would be to try to recreate the Lot 2 landscaping or at least spruce up the landscaping around Lot 1.

The only method, that I know of, for copying / pasting the Lot 1 house onto Lot 2 would be to save each room from Lot 1, then place them back together on Lot 2. Since you said the lot was pretty big and very detailed, saving the rooms and placing them might be really time consuming and tedious. You would want to give each room a detailed description when saving so that you know where to place them on the new lot; i.e. Front Porch Center, Front Porch Right, Rear deck, 1st Floor Bedroom Master, 1st Floor Bedroom Kid's Room, etc.

The main problem with this method is that pools and stairs will not be saved in any rooms that have them. So, when placing the rooms on the lot, you would have to add stairs and pools back to the rooms that had them.

(Option 3 :-) Send me a DM with the lot details and I can try to spruce up the landscaping for you and/or ask my builder friends for help.)

Thank you for your sweet reply :') I thought of option two but yes in the end I don't think it would be easier than redoing the landscaping myself because of all the details and shapes that I would need to figure out how to piece back together. I'll give landscaping lot 1 a try, but if all goes wrong I might just take you up on your kind offer haha

@n0t_floraFor small areas of landscaping I place a room around it first. So if I want to duplicate flowerbeds with sculptures or fountains, lighting for example. It fills in with a concrete base when you do it so I put the walls up first, I use half walls and replace them with fencing or remove them later. I copy them once completed so I have matching outdoor decor and flowerbeds. For terrain I've copied one that I like and then bulldozed the lot but kept the terrain, like the parks that have frog ponds for example, when I wanted that pond in my garden.
I wish that the whole thing was a bit easier though so that we could achieve what you're describing there. Sometimes I lift the house up using Move House as I'm landscaping and then I move it again later. But again that's not what you are wanting to do.
I actually always thought it was just the limitations of playing on console but maybe it's not after all.
