- Ok! You have to wait some Sim days to have the event on your calender. It was only a matter of time. All solved, thanks

My sim is an author. Got notification he won an award, went to the ceremony and he not only did not get an award, they never called his category.
Why?
- yavannah796 years agoNew Traveler@troshalom I have same problem. I'd like my sims to have their awards but those keeps going to other sims and some of them even does not go and get their awards even they are at the scene. All the time.
I am having a similar problem except no matter what I do my sim just won't get invited to an award ceremony. I'm doing the master actress aspiration and can't get past the 3rd level because I need my sim to receive an award. is there any way I can force it or something to that effect?

@JACKIE1888 I never wait for an invitation, I just have my Sim show up at the venue on the night of the Awards ceremony. She did not win any awards for the first three or four times she attended but shortly after that I got a notification right after an acting gig that she had been nominated for an award. On the next time she attended she did win a Starlight Accolade award. Can you try attending without receiving an invitation? In my game the awards ceremony is always held at the Studio PBP lounge and it takes place every Sunday at 6 p.m. (I always have my Sim show up a few minutes early).
- Psychotps5 years agoSeasoned Ace@RandomBuzziness One problem with it is... if the world is a save that's been played for a while, there will likely be a good number of famous sims in the world. The game chooses from that pool of famous sims for the winners. The more there are, the less likely you'll win an award.
I had a long-term save I had once, I never ended up getting one. I had to go and delete a lot of famous sims before I finally won. - RandomBuzziness5 years agoSeasoned Ace
@Psychotps I have a few hundred hours in this save but I kept the number of celebs under control by using the Fame opt-out in the game options. The only celebrities I have are the pre-mades plus a few more I either created through game-play or cheating up with MCCC (those were mostly DJ's). So there are only maybe 20 or 25 celebs in this save & my Sim won her first Starlight Accolade award on the 4th or maybe 5th try while she was still a 3-star celeb actress. If the number of celebs gets too low then the game will keep spawning more for the awards show & then I'd have a bunch of goofy looking NPCs with no job but a 4 or 5-star celebrity status 😞 I like for the celebs to at least dress nice for the awards show even if they have no actual talent.
- Psychotps5 years agoSeasoned Ace@RandomBuzziness That's pretty much what I did. I opted out and created all my own famous sims. I still tend to get a bunch of famous sims auto-generated though.
What I tend to do is during an awards show, If someone else wins an award, I'll use MCCC to force them to leave. That way they don't go up and accept the award for a half-hour. It allows more awards and more chances for my sim to win. 😉
