Again, I think For Rent, the 20 sims cap plays a major part in the lack of common space use, or the ability to peak into their apartment without going through the loading screen.

The amounts of autonomy in Sims 4 VS Sims 2 is far greater. I think it's the same amount autonomy that's causing so many issues in game stability. Because Sims 4 is coming to its end of life stage, I doubt the devs are going to rewrite any major code to fix it. More so just bandage up what they can until Sims 5 is released.
