Re: Game keeps pausing time and sims not moving

@Katicorn15 There can be a lot of different causes of this, but make sure you deleted localthumbcache after removing the Mods folder first. Among the non-mod causes I've seen lately:

  • Lots of interactive objects on the lot or items in inventory, often combined with large lots, large households, or lining up a lot for Sims to do. A way to help figure out if that's your issue is to test in a different (smaller) household on a different (and less packed) lot.
  • The game is trying to make online contact but you're trying to play offline. For this issue, make sure that the top left option in Options > Other is off.
  • A syncing program is trying to sync files. For this issue, decouple Sims files from syncing (this is your best solution for other reasons) or pause the syncing software before playing.

However, different Simmers may have different combinations of things leading to this. You might need to try a bunch of options.
