Re: Happy Home Login Event not appearing on Main Menu

Aussie here, the EA app says the event has started but removing mods, clearing caches, and disabling cc in game menu, and repairing the whole game has failed to make any pop ups or notifications materialise. I've been mucking around with the settings and mod content in my game for the last hour or so because today specifically, with no changes I've made to my game, it has started hitting errors I've never encountered before from being unable to save the game if a celebrity is present to simulation lag resulting in a frozen clock and all animations still running even when opening the in game menu, being unable to load out of the lot or quit the game normally without it crashing, meaning I'm having to restart my whole computer. I actually love this game when it runs (relatively) smoothly but today- I just can't make sense of what's going on. The only change I can point to is the supposed rolling out of the rewards event. I can only hope the Sims team are working to get this fixed in a reasonable time frame

This come up and I updated and still nothing, about to restart and repair the game again ☹️

Done all the steps again and the new one about deleting the "localthumbcache.package" and its still not there and no information or pop up about it in my game but ea now has a pop up saying its on week 2!? seriously I still havent got week 1 and dont know how to get in in my game...

So the event is either still not available to a huge number of users, or many others are being left unable to claim but EA who still has the main function of the last EP not working is able to create an emergency patch to prevent users from access these free items by other means.

The free items are not associated with your account but with a single config file on your local machine, so it you lost your save, have your computer fail or use multiple computers you don’t have access to the items across them, even though we all have ea accounts that these items could be associated with.

I am just waiting for a modder to create a cc package of all of the event rewards, sounds like it will be way more stable than what we are being offered in the game by EA.

I was on the fence about login rewards at first, (for this one occasion) but then I felt a bit more irritation in discovering (after repairing etc) that it was a staggered rollout that wasn't mentioned anywhere and I was apparently in the group unable to access it. So when I had to download an update today for a hot fix that was focused almost entirely on login events that I have had no chance to see or particpate in, I've reached the point where I am no longer mildly irritated but rather annoyed AND highly motivated to actively avoid logging in or playing. The items are not worth the thought or effort. 

Hi @Zeapetch , im the same as you. I am from Australia and I can't find the Freezer Bunny icon nor any of the items in game being "popped up".

Have you been able to claim anything since Friday/your last time looking? 

Honestly, I stopped logging in to check. Despite the new EA app that’s been forced on us (I was origin til very recently) launching anytime I open my laptop lid to do work (would love to know how to turn that off!). But in answer to this post, and since I was on Xbox for other games, I opened Sims there to check just now (12 June in Aus) and the event is NOT showing there. I normally play on laptop, and I haven’t checked there, but it is on the same EA account, so doubt it’s there either and I’m not wasting my time to check. The rewards are not that great to be jumping through these hoops and it’s just made me sour on the game even more. 

i did see there is a sale and on packs i might have been interested in at one point, but * to spending any more on this game, honestly, if they can’t even get something like this right. I’m sad the amount of money I invested in a game I thoroughly and regularly enjoyed for a while, but now just get frustrated anytime I log in to play.
