Hi @000Unavailable No news on that tbh.. However, there is a mod for it, by 'RedHeadSims', that is still working without issues. (you can just 'search' for RedHeadSims height slider

While some don't choose to use mods, a mere few are not hard to maintain, ie: make sure to check if  they break, (game won't load, etc) and if so.. to get the update by the 'maker of', if available, or simply remove it from your game.

nb: if you do decide to use it, or someone else discovers this post, redheadsims, also has lip sliders, etc.. but to 'use' the height control with this mod, turn the sim around in CAS then drag the mouse up/down with the 'calf muscle' area to change the height of the sim..
