@RaeSteiger Don't really know how to help you cause we're not allowed any questions but I merged your post with the main thread on cheats not working. Maybe you'll find something in here you haven't tried.

@MostHatedNyNy You don't need to enable testingcheats for them to work, that command is irrelevant for debug and world items to show in the BB catalogue. Try repairing your game and then entering the commands correctly. For debug catalogue items: bb.showhiddenobjects For world items, enter the following command, hit enter then click in the search field, bottom left corner in BB and hit enter again. The catalogue will populate with all the hidden world items. bb.showliveeditobjects Like this:

Cheats are commonly used in the Sims games and as it's a single player game, you can do so at your heart's content. Some cheats are also used to fix issues.

For PC/Mac there are no consequences for using them. On Console, using testingcheats will disable achievements/trophies.

Cheat XYZ doesn't work

A few tips on what to do if a certain cheat doesn't work. Ask in the thread if you have further issues.

Some cheats only work if you put testingcheats on first.

Add/remove Pregnancy(requires AllCheats or MCCC)

This cheat is hidden on a vanilla game as it's part of the moodlet cheat. Removing/Adding moodlets can have side effects so please use with caution. Make sure the Sim you want to add/remove the moddlet from is active. To remove a buff instead of add, use sims.remove_buff

First Trimester: sims.add_buff buff_Pregnancy_Trimester1
Second Trimester: sims.add_buff buff_Pregnancy_Trimester2
Third Trimester: sims.add_buff buff_Pregnancy_Trimester3
Labor: sims.add_buff buff_Pregnancy_InLabor

Add/Remove Traits

You can add/remove any trait. The names of the traits are not always self-explaining so feel free to ask here what the individual trait names are if you can't find them in the Internet. Make sure that the Sim you want to add the trait to is active.

You can also only have 3 base traits. If you want to change them, you need to remove one to add another.

Delete Objects (requires AllCheats or MCCC and testingcheats enabled)

This cheat is hidden on a vanilla game.

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Snowy escape, eco-lifestyle, discover university, island living, get famous, seasons, cats & dogs, city living, get together, get to work, the realm of magic, parenthood, dine out, spa day, outdoor retreat, nifty knitting, tiny living, laundry day, vintage glamour, backyard, kids room, romantic garden, movie hangout, spooky, cool kitchen, perfect patio
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I use control shift c to open the cheats bar. Type testing cheats true and it says cheats have been enabled. Then when I type out the cheat to make a sim go into labor or use a cheat for promoting a job nothing happens.
What happens when the bug occurs? When I try to use cheats such as the go into labor cheat or promote a sim's career, nothing happens while other cheats such as rosebud or cas.fulledit mode still work.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see the cheats to work as they normally did before my game updated.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I recently updated my sims 4 game through origin for the May 2021 update. but after it had updated I noticed certain things that would happen with my game. Such as my adult sims were not able to interact with the kids stuff object puppet show. Then when I tried using a career promoting cheat nothing happened, and when I tried using the pregnancy cheats nothing happened as well while other cheats still work. I have tried repairing my game and my origin has been updated, I have no idea what else to do and I do not have good internet to try and uninstall origin and have to go through the time of trying to reinstall all of my sims stuff. I would greatly appreciate a solution to this problem. Thank you.

Did you happen to remove Twisted Mexi's All Cheats mod? Or another mod that adds cheats to the game? Because those cheats are blocked by the game without a mod to add them back. Otherwise, the mod may need to be updated.

Which career are you trying ? Do all not work ?

For the pregancy you'll need all cheats as mentioned by @amanda-amethyst

I deleted all my cc/mods and cas.fulleditmode still isn't working. some cheats work, but cas.fulleditmode doesn't.
These are the steps I took:
control + shift + c
"testingcheats true" --> dialogue box responded with "Cheats are enabled."
"cas.fulleditmode" --> nothing shows up in the dialogue box. No confirmation that the cheat was entered
shift + clicked on my Sim, entered CAS --> there was only options to change the Sim's outfit.
Can you let me know how to fix this? I'm getting frustrated ☹️
PS: I use Mac, this post automatically got sent to PC issues, sorry if there is any confusion.

@HolographicCube This may or may not help but my cas was acting strange after I deleted some cc and I switched from testingcheats true to testingcheats on

After I used on instead of true I could cas.fulleditmode if I was in live mode.

Hey all, the Sims 4 won’t allow cheats anymore even with custom scripts. Yes I tried the shift ctrl c, testing cheats true, testing cheats on, testing cheats enabled, all of it. Don’t ask “did you try ___” because no, I did try it and it didn’t work. Tmex’s stuff doesn’t work anymore either.

i want to change my townies traits, but when I changed them in CAS,he still gets moodlets from his old traits. I tried to change them with traits.remove_traits (trait name) but it doesn't work. it won't remove the traits I write. only once It has worked but never again and that was just the first trait that it worked on. there was still the other two I wanted to change. I did testingcheats on cheat first.
