I actually think I’m going to go with the Acer Aspire 5, 8th Gen Intel Core i7. Has 512GB PCle NVMe SSD. Does that sound good in terms of storage space?
@ItsBrittHendrix The more important question is what the Aspire has for a graphics card. More storage is great, but the GPU is the single most important factor in determining how well a computer will run most games, including Sims 4. So please either list the Aspire's graphics card, or post a link to it.
@ItsBrittHendrix This second laptop isn't anywhere near as good as the first one. As mentioned, the graphics card is the most important feature, and this Acer only has integrated graphics, really only capable of running Sims 4 on medium settings, at least if you'd like to play with the newer expansions installed. The HP is a much better option.

Would this one work as a budget gaming laptop? I know the HDD would load game files slower than the SSD but at least with a 1 TB HDD storage space wouldn't be an issue.
