Re: If I install the Sims 4 on a new computer, will my mods carry?

@LlamaOMama  Any bugs that exist in the game itself will still be present on the new computer, at least until the bugs are fixed in a patch.  Any issues with your saves, mods, or other user content will stay on your old computer.  If you don't transfer those files over, they won't affect the new computer.

If you transfer your saves but not your mods, it's very possible that the saves will still be affected by whatever corruption has accumulated within them.  But new saves won't be.

I won't carry my corrupted mods or relocate my files over to the new one. I'm just gonna install it on a new device.  Thanks for the help.

    Hello,

I’m having this problem with the game that I installed on my new computer. I had mistakenly added the corrupted saves to the saves folder on my new computer right after installing the game and now every time I open or reinstall then game the game doesn’t function normally, it’s broken and the sims have broken cc skin even though I haven’t installed any mods on my new computer. The worlds and the cas seems to be affected as well. How can I fix this and get everything back to normal? How do I clean out my saves on my old computer for corrupted files to transfer to my new computer to run normally?

    Thank you.

@Bombpastel  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and let the game create a new folder.  Then add the content you do want to use to that new folder.

If the Sims 4 folder gets copied instead of moving, or you get an error when trying to move it, let me know.
