@andriodpeachYou should be able to find proof of purchase for all of your Origin downloads in your Order History. While logged in to Origin, you can check your order history by clicking on the Origin button in the top left and then selecting Order History. That will take you to the Customer Portal in myaccount.ea.com. All of your Origin purchases should show up there.
The only time I can remember receiving activation codes is when I purchased Sims games through outside retailers, like Target, Walmart, etc. I could be wrong about that one.
I think the response time on the EA Tech Support site varies with the level of current demand on their site. I've seen some pretty high estimated wait times but I've also had other times with no wait at all. EA staff definitely seems to be monitoring these forums and they have replied to some of my posts here in the past.
