Re: Random Mean Interactions

@CGrant56

Alright,  while they still are generally a bit angsty and a tad rude doing the naps enable and repeal has stopped much of the behavior.  For anyone who might encounter this the things that haven't stopped seem to be residual to the earlier sims who were more impacted by the naps prior to disabling them.  Those who entered after disabling the naps are acting as normal

The earlier sims are still a little rowdy but it's liveable and not constant.  Pranking has been reduced to residual or hidden goofball traits as opposed to all sims.  It isn't effecting other worlds but mine was confined to just one world, Myshuno, to begin with.

It's now liveable drama and dumping the cache was very helpful as well I'm sure some of the mess could have been there as well.

Dumped cache

Repaired game

Repealed all naps

Disabled naps

Manually enacted the prior naps briefly

Repealed to clean out the residue

No naps enabled anywhere

This process got rid of about 80% of the issue with the rest being hidden in earlier sims it would seem (but it's completely liveable and kinda adds a city vibe at this point)

Thanks! 😊

Great!  Sounds like you've got it under control and that is very good.

And to answer your question about NAPs in different zones, from what I can tell, the game assigns them randomly more or less although I saw the 2 I mentioned earlier seemed to get assigned more before I got them under control in my main long term save.  I didn't turn off NPC voting until late and it took going into every zone and resetting them.  Generally I use the same ones everywhere now.

Glad I could help.  Have fun with your game!

@wahini2024 , I'm so glad @CGrant56  could help you get your game under control! 🙌🥳  That must be a big relief! 😅

I know they aren't perfect, as you said they seem to be a bit rowdy.😜  I can't help but think that that might have something to do with how Sims have a tendency to continue doing actions and interactions of what they have done previously.  This would happen long before the Eco Lifestyle pack even existed!  I've noticed that my Sims might ignore the chess board for the longest time, but if I direct them to play a few times, they would be much more likely to choose playing chess over something else. Same with painting, and other activities, and interactions like flirting and mischief.  I thought maybe it was just happening in my game , but then I saw a video of of several Sims set up in identical rooms side by side.  The Sims all had different personality traits , The person playing would let them do what ever they wanted for a bit and then start directing them to do all the same thing.  After a while all the Sims would often choose that activity over the others available, despite their personality.  While this is good for players who are storytellers or who love to be control freaks with their Sims, it isn't so good for those who want to let their Sims play out on their own more often. However, this might have changed somewhat with the additions of Lifestyles. I'm not sure since I haven't tested it since then.  But I would think if anything, that Lifestyles might make this behavior even more prevalent. 🤔 In the meantime, I would just keep directing them to do activities and interactions that you actually want to encourage (like you have been doing lately) , at least for a while.  Then maybe you can ease up a bit! 🤞😉

Thank you!  I'll check it out.  My problem is mainly solved in this load finally but will be interesting to see what they're experiencing as well

Oh I removed lifestyles a long time ago due to the tension they would get and it's not an aspect of the game that I enjoy but I do notice repetitive activities tend to stick

I wasn't engaging them in any mischief at all but I think the NAPS were causing it as well as the humor and hijinks festival since they all live in the city and all attend the festivals regardless of which family I'm playing as. I take them as a group to join the jokester team now and the mischief has dropped even further.

The romance festival is still an issue and many of my couples have a minor romantic relationships afterwards much to my surprise. It is what it is at this point but it's playable finally 🙌 and the slight drama is actually endearing now

@wahini2024 , yes while i love the Humor and Hijinks festival (a great way to earn cash early on in a new household without using cheats!  just be on the winning side and sell off all the fireworks and the microphone or voodoo doll for some nice cash!)  I do tend to have my Sims only join the Jokesters side unless I specifically want them to be mischievous..  😉

And the fact that making them Jokesters now has made the mischievous actions lessen, is similar to what I was saying in my earlier post about them preferring more recent actions! 😉

I have had problems with the Romance festival when I've brought a married couple to it and had them drink the Sakura Tea... they started flirting with other Sims besides their spouse! 🤦‍♀️😓 And here I thought it would be a fun, romantic activity to strengthen their relationship! 😥
