The tasks are "plant a lily" and "plant a snapdragon". They are not ticking as complete even though I planted them and this marks this as game breaking for the login event.

Same here. I’ve planted a Lily and Snapdragon twice for the “Assistant to the Grim Reaper” challenge in Reaper’s Rewards. Both fully grown and harvestable and it doesn’t tick off.

I am in the same boat. I am stuck on the plant lily and snapdragon but when I went from live mode to build mode and back, it blanked out the objectives and now it's blank and I can't continue the event.
The same for me, I've tried planting, restarting, uprooting, but it doesn't work.
I play on PC.
Hi, i have that same problem. No matter how many plants I planted, the task is still failed. 😓
Don't know if what I did will work for anyone but I made a new save, the task still popped up for me that I was on so I did it and it checked off so I went to my other save and it was updated that the task I couldnt do was checked off and other ones showed up and I got all my tasks completed.
I wish that worked for me. I tried that yesterday as well as today and the grim event UI is still blank. I've repaired the game, took out all mods, and did everything people have suggested here and in the reddit bug report forums. Very frustrating experience that I can't finish week 1 quest. :(
It seems different things work for different people which is really weird. I'm sorry you're still not able to play, I hope they fix it for everyone very soon.

SimplyDeeSimsidekoliviatnhendricksBriannaKristalynLoanetIzKa_Ka Have any of you ever used Better BuildBuy? If you have and it's still installed, try disabling organized debug. If you have and have since removed it, either put it back and disable organized debug, or run a game repair.

Same here, I have mods installed so i thought that might be it, but when i disabled them the problem still occured. I repaired my game and i deleted the better build buy mod like Pip Menace suggested and now it works without any trouble!
I am having the same issue, I have removed and turned off all my mods/cc and it still wont check off the planting lily and snapdragon.
