Reaper's Rewards: Wait for Newsletter Task Not Completing

Hello everyone! 

I also have a similar problem, I get the letter but when I read it, it disappears and I don't complete the mission. I don't know what to do...

Also same, I am able to get the letter, 1 per household person in fact. but once I try to "read" it, the letter disappears and the quest options leave but i still didn't get the points or proceed. i have a save on my desktop and on my laptop so two totally different setups, same issue.

Same problem. Quests worked for awhile, and then just stopped showing things to do. I got a letter, opened it but it disappeared and nothing happened. No mods or cc every in my game.

I have the same problem (even after that 1 Oct hot fix). Ambrosia Society Newsletter just disappeared after I have completed some of the week 1 quests. To make the problem even worse, I cannot find any reaper event quests from my UI (can only view the UI showing rewards BUT NOT the quest UI). That's really frustrating as I cannot do anything with the event!! 
I have never used any mods or anything that are not officially released. This is really such a disappointing experience. I hope EA will fix the problem ASAP!

I am having the same issue. 

I removed mods / did a new save / repaired the game and still no sign of the newsletter ever. I have completed the Assistant to the grim reaper but the a call away never showed up and even with mods removed and game repaired it still has not shown up .-.

I'm having this issue too.

First: Quests worked for awhile, and then the game stopped showing them to me.
Second: With a family I got the newsletter but after reading it, it disappeared and the quest was still incomplete. Every other familiy didn't received the newsletter.
Every other type of mail arrives without problems.

The things I already tried to do:
I tried creating another world and it didn't work
I tried to eliminate and replace the mailbox
I tried to create another new family

I am still having this problem as well. I never was shown tasks to complete for "A Call Away." I initially got the newsletter in the mail, and it disappeared as soon as my Sim read it. I have not been able to progress at all from that point. I never have had the option to expedite the mail service. I have tried buying a new mailbox, and even moving to a new lot or using a different saved game. Each time my Sims receive mail again, they have the option to Get Mail, and it says everything is collected from the mailbox, but when I check their inventory, nothing is there. I'm so disappointed that I haven't been able to make any more progress.

Having the very same problem.  Tried removing the mods, repairing the game, new game etc. Seems to be a common bug. It needs an external fix in my opinion. 

Same issue here. Newsletter disappears when read. Not progress on the event.

I had the dissapearing newsletter and tried everything, just now i went into a household and had the child get the mail and try to read it, IT WORKED! idk if it will progress more but it shows progression on all my households now. excited.
