Re: Reporting people for charging money for builds.
Hi, I honestly think this issue is against the TOS for the sims 4. I know someone on FB charging people $30.00 for building a house for them. I am not sure how to go about reporting this. I was on Facebook last night and someone posted a house they built recently and then said she was taking requests if anyone would like a house built for them. So I posted that my inspiration was just not there at the moment, so I would love a house built for my game. I then posted a picture of the house asd well as a floorplan that I would like, along with a kitchen image for inspiration for said request. She then asked me to DM her with my request, which I did and in turn she replied that to move forward she would be charging me $30.00 for this build! I am pretty sure this is absolutely not allowed. I am including the post and the messenger conversation between us as proof. If you want the name of said person, please let me know how to go about this without me breaking any rules?
HER: Hey Y'all! Got any builds you need done? I'm taking requests for this upcoming weekend! There are pics of my work in the post if you'd like to see those! If you'd like to have a build done by me, message me! I'd be more than happy to build for ya!
My reply was a few inspiration pictures as well as the actual picture of the home I wished to have built.
ME: And yes I love black homes with wood trim. I am even loving black walls indoors more and more lol. Saw a kitchen that is to die for in black, amazing. I am a good builder myself, but just have zero focus these days trying to create, life and health issues butt in the way too often.
HER: Yeah not a problem message me dear!
So I go and DM her on her facebook messenger and posted everything again that was posted on her post itself. nad then she responds with this:
HER; Hi dear. I’d like to start off by saying thank you for the message. I do charge for my builds. For the size that you want it’s $30.00. I go through PayPal. If you would like to proceed I require payment before I start building. If you’d like to move forward lmk and I can send u the info.
ME: Excuse me? This is a freaking game that Maxis and EA OWN, who gives you the right to charge money for something you have no right to do? And here I thought you were a real creative simmer, yet it turns out you are a damn thief! No thank you! I have too many friends in this community who are ten times better than you, I just thought you were bored and wanted to be creative. I will be reporting this to Maxis/EA!
HER: Lmfaooo have a nice day dear. what I do is fine by Ea. You can not expect a true artist to not charge for their time. I charge for MY TIME. Not the build itself. I have approval to do so. It is fine that you do not agree but learn how to speak to people. A simple I don’t want it would’ve sufficed
Mind you, she has been perma banned from numerous groups on Facebook as well as many fansites, due to her spamming for people's money.
I sure hope something can be done about this, because this just doesn't seem above board at all.
