From the main menu select New Game.

I'm trying to avoid starting a new game as I play everything in the same world.

One way is to go back and revive the Mother and defeat her again. Once that is done you can request "a little weird" (or a similar phrase) and StrangerVille will reset.
There might be a cheat out there somewhere But the above method should do the trick.
