I re-downloaded the original build from the gallery, then I got done fixing the structure to how I wanted it to look, and I then used the "Move House - Reposition your house" tool in the bar at the top of the screen, and apparently moving the lot in any sort of way is what makes the second floor invisible. I also noticed that there is also a weird, corner curving railing sticking out of the ground that I can't delete or interact with whatsoever. I have a feeling that whatever glitch is happening here might have something to do with that.
