Re: Sims 4 Black Friday 2019

AH, I'm so annoyed. There are no Black Friday sales for me at all. There wasn't any yesterday on actual Friday. I really wanted Discover University since it's my birthday on the 27th but I could only get it if it was on sale. I'm so disappointed 😢

@LyraGalaxyWolf, but Black Friday will be on November 29 this year. Why are you disappointed? Just wait for another week. No one got this sale yet.

@LyraGalaxyWolfBlack friday is only next week. Last year the sale started 2 or 3 days before the actual friday if I remember well. But Discover University definitely won't be on sale, the last released pack never is, they can't realistically put on sale something that has been released a couple of weeks ago...
It will probably be for boxing day, you'll have to be a little more patient.

Don’t worry Black Friday is the last Friday of  November is still possibly a chance

  • Didn't the Black Friday sale for PC come about a week in advance on previous years, around the time they released the console-only sales this time? God knows why they'd exclude their primary player base on PC from any sales, but it isn't looking good.

@Gr1mwolfS3I'm wondering if those console-only sales have more to do with Microsoft (XBox One) and Sony (PS4) than they do with Origin. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed!

EDIT: Target just started a 50% off sale on most of the Sims 4 EP's (for PC) so hopefully this means maybe something more is happening?

Historically they always announce the PC sales the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and given they're located in Ca, USA, I assume tomorrow it will be announced.

  • @Kylaah27 That would be great if they did! I'm a little hyped for the black friday sale because I want to buy myself a few of the (many) ones that I am missing.

I'm so excited! I haven't been playing Sims for a while now but I recently rediscovered the game and want all those expansions packs so bad.

I'm seeing that Amazon currently has Island Living (PC) and Seasons (PC) marked down to 50% off, if anyone is interested in either of those. Hopefully this is just the start with more Black Friday sales to come.

EDIT: Target also has most of the Sims 4 expansion packs for PC on sale 50% off.

I've been examining the sales for console and on third party sites like Amazon.

It looks like only the expansions are getting solid sales, and the new one, University, is understandably untouched.

Game Packs are getting marked down to $15, which isn't a lot. Not a Black Friday "buy them all" kinda discount. Stuff Packs are being completely untouched.

Apparently, they aren't on sale anymore but just yesterday or the day before they were which is odd.

@StellatheGiraffe I still see Bowling night and Fitness stuff on sale on the PS4 store (same as a few days before). Maybe that varies depending on the region.
  • Yeah, it seems both on the Canadian and US versions of the PS store no longer have the stuff packs on sale.

Hi I'm kind of new to this whole forum thing, but is there a difference in sales when it comes to stores? I'm from Europe, where Black Friday has become a thing only a year ago, so I don't know what to expect.

@maanorchidee I am from Europe too and I am pretty sure all previous sales have been the same worldwide (on Origin). Black Friday is getting bigger and bigger in Europe now and every online business seem to offer deals.
