Re: Sims 4 EA dlc key for steam install

@Metro_Unicorn  Yes, content owned in the EA App can be accessed when running a Steam install.  In case you're wondering, what your friend would need to do would be to open their EA App game library, click Sims 4, select Manage > Manage add-ons, then download only the packs (not a second copy of the base game) from there.  The App would install the packs into the same location as their base game, and everything would load together.

Having said that, before you spend any money, check out Steam's likely upcoming Black Friday and winter holiday sales.  Both Steam and the EA App tend to offer expansions for 50% off, other than the newest releases, and smaller discounts for game and stuff packs.  Additionally, third-party key sellers are not completely reliable—there's always a chance that one or more keys don't work at all.  Depending on the relative pricing, it might make sense to skip the outside vendors entirely.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up about the sales, I'll probably go with those. I've bought game keys from key sites without issue before but I saw elsewhere on here about people having issues activating their DLC keys so yeah probs best to be safe than sorry.

    Thanks again
