Ears connect to head in CAS

I've noticed with my a child in my household that their ears connect to their head. They aren't separated at the top of the ear from the head. Further noticed that they are very small compared to normally. This causes weird visual glitches with hairs, hats and just generally looks weird. I'm uncertain if this has anything to do with the child being a Grimborn which I'm aware has mucked up facial features in game before.

Play with mods, but all recently updated with the newest patch.

Images inserted for reference,

Visual glitch that the ear section cuts through hair/hats.Can see that the ears don't separate from head but are just one block.

  • Please follow these steps to test  your game on vanilla game with no mods/cc.

    • Create a backup of your save game
    • Move your mods folder to the desktop
    • Delete the following files from your user folder.
      • localthumbcache
      • Any lastException Files
      • Any LastCrash files.
    • Test your save (you will loose all cc on the save but since you created a backup you can go back to that afterwards) and see if the same error occurs, then report back.

Please also test another Sim if the same issue occurs

  • Hi! Currently experiencing an issue where the ears on a sim connect to the side of the sim's head. This issue is noticeable with both larger and smaller ears, and is seen in CAS and in-game. Not quite sure what's causing this, but it's not an issue for every sim, only select sims. Screenshots are provided below!

I do play with CC and mods; HOWEVER, these screenshots are with everything removed from my mods folder, leaving only a brand new "Resource.cgf" file.

    - I have tried deleting the "localthumbcache.package" file
    - I have tried clearing the "cache" folder
    - I have tried deleting all crash and exceptions files

    Hi Squishy_Yoongles

I merged this with another report for this.

Did you create a new Sim after removing mods/cc or is it just already affected Sims having the issue ? I know you said it's random but if you could duplicate it with a new Sim, that be good.

Can you upload an affect Sim to the gallery and post the name here ?

This sim was made with all mods and CC installed, and the issue continues to persist with this specific sim when all are removed. The issue doesn't appear as bad if the ears are large (attachments below showcase the small vs large ear difference), but I also don't want my sims to have crazy large ears to make the issue not as bad 😭

I have tried to replicate the issue on a new sim with no mods and CC installed, but no luck.

If it affects anything, I've never played with this sim in live mode (only briefly loaded them into live mode to see if the issue continued there), and was made using the genetic option in CAS. The sim's CAS father was a sim I made, and does not have the issue, and the sim's CAS mother is another sim uploaded by someone else on the galley (featuring some CC I do not have), and may be experiencing this similar issue, though it doesn't appear to be as noticeable.

EA ID is "Squishy_Yoongles", and the sim is uploaded under "Silly Ears" !

    - I added an additional sim, a male sim, who I found is also experiencing this issue. This sim was also made prior to mods and CC being removed, and was also made via the "Play with Genetics" option in CAS.
