I've tried in build mode and live mode I've enabled the cheats and it showed 'cheats enabled' and motherhood still wont work. I am on a mac does that effect it?

Nope, that does not affect it at all. It is not supposed to anyway.
But I do have a question for you - did you type in "motherhood" or "motherload"? It should be motherload 😉
If that was the issue then your problem is solved!
- Anonymous10 years agoNot applicableI'm not in build mode and motherload still doesn't work. Hellpppp

I'm on a mac and I tried motherlode as it says, motherhood, and motherload. Apparently, they all don't work. I was even with my friend and she said she got it working but she was on windows. also, my friend tried it on her other friend's mac but it doesn't work. I am concerned that this actually does affect mac. Also, do you know if MacBook Air has anything to do with it because that is what I have.

If you have mods/cc in your game, remove all of them to see if the game works better.
For example, move the mods folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to your Desktop and start the game. - hanb1237 years agoNot applicableMine is doing the same !!

Its actually MOTHERLODE, not MOTHERLOAD 🤷🏽♀️
