@Yekuhsiyo, It is my understanding that Sims can't marry their employees. It the Sim your Sim is trying to marry an employee of theirs?🤔

No, she’s not my employee. I sold my business, quit my job, made her quit her job and it’s still not allowing me to get married 🤦🏻♀️
@Cdm5476, this could be due to the fact that their relationship isn't high enough yet to get married, but sometimes the employee tag pops up with this for some reason. This has happened to a friend of mine a couple of times, but the problem was their relationship or romantic relationship wasn't quite high enough, despite what the tag said. 🤭 😃
However, some Mods, especially relationship Mods could affect this as well. Do you happen to use Mods?🤔
Edit: I forgot to mention that sometimes this message will pop up if you have a romance bar existing with any other Sim other than the one your Sim is trying to marry. To fix this, find the Sim or Sims who you have had romances with and ask to just be friends. If this applies to your sim, the accepted solution is basically what @PugLove888 wrote in the ‘Edit’ portion of comment #4.
