Re: wired AI behavior with fireplaces

I haven't had any issues with my fireplace going out, though when I do manually put it out my Sims are definitely obsessed with lighting it up again. I keep trying to have mine stay out because I've had several sims burst into flames because of it (including my sims' wife during their wedding event... ouch), but it's basically impossible to keep it put out unless everyone is asleep because someone always quickly comes along to light it again. I'm leaning towards taking my fireplace out because it doesn't seem worth it, and it's getting annoying.

i have not had anything go up in flames as of yet, i think there is something going on with the auto light upgrade,
i have tried debugging it and it seems to have slowed my sims obsessive behavior so they are getting things done, if it becomes a problem, removing it maybe the best option.
