Realm of Magic bug?

A weird thing happened this afternoon. Need to research it some more. Not sure how it happened but I had a mage that was visiting the magic realm in the shopping area. I noticed an NPC didn't have a face for some reason. I took the NPC into CAS to correct the missing face and when I left, I ended up controlling my sim's sister from the same household back in Newcrest.

Normally this isn't a big issue, I usually just switch control back to the other one. Only I couldn't. The option wasn't there. There was no option on the sim's icon to send home, I couldn't switch control in live mode. The sim was basically stuck on another lot with no way to get back.

Anyone seen this?  A bug with RoM? No switching control if on that lot?

I ended up having to save and exit to the worlds screen, and re-opening the game, taking control of the sim from the worlds screen.

    @Psychotps Can't test this right now but the switching back to the first Sim of the household has always been an issue (It think they fixed something about that at some point but I think only for the GTW wardrobe, probably not for the cheat).

    Now as you say, that's not the real problem but rather that you can't switch back.

    Can you replicate it again if you do the same steps ?

    @crinrict That's exactly it. It's not a big deal that it switched to a different sim, rather that I couldn't switch back to my played sim.

    I "might" have been able to walk another sim to that world, maybe I'd be able to regain control that way and send both home... but since it was the magic realm and the sim's sister wasn't a mage, I didn't want to break immersion that way.

    I'm gonna play it this morning and see if I can reproduce the problem.

    Well, I'm not sure what happened but it appears to only be that household. Other households, other saves, regular sims, mages, even ones that went to the magic realm, all have the little lightning bolt on their icon, none of the sims in the effected household have it so I can't switch control.

    Gonna try moving them to another house and see if it re-appears.

    Edit:  Nope. Looks like that household is bugged. Moving to another lot didn't fix it.  Don't know what triggered the bug but I'll keep an eye out on other households to see if it happens again.

    @crinrict Awesome! That was the problem. Both sisters were aged up from toddler (but in a different household). They both had the trait "trait_AtDaycare". I removed the hidden trait and the lightning bolt re-appeared.

    None of the other sims I tested with this morning had the trait because I created them all at Young Adult.

    Looks like it's a bug with that trait. It's a big problem because that trait is automatically given to ALL sims that age up from toddler.

    At least the work-around is easy:

    Traits.remove_trait trait_AtDaycare
