is there ANY way to rebind the camera rotation from , and . to Q and E? it would make the game so much easier since i wouldnt need to either let go of the mouse or stop moving the camera via wasd just to rotate
I'll even accept mods or going into the actual files to edit it!
I don't know any way to rebind keys in The Sims 4.
Closest suggestion I have is to use the mouse for rotation.
TS4 camera: Right-click and drag for rotation.
TS3 camera: CTRL-right-click and drag for rotation.
@hotbread01 Sims 4 doesn't support this, but you could use Microsoft's PowerToys to do so, specifically Keyboard Manager. It's a free download, and here's a guide:

Because this only applies when the app is open, you could open it only when playing Sims 4, so your Q and E keys aren't permanently remapped.
@Sketch793 With the Sims 3 camera enabled, holding down the middle mouse button allows for free rotation.
