Reitannashot in the dark to see if you'll reply since this post is so old, but I'm really looking for clarification here. I am not a CC creator and you are, so hopefully you can clarify for me. I recently asked a creator who keeps all of their content permanently paywalled (for like 5+ years now) how/why they still do it since EA's restriction.
they said "I create 3d models and I dont use any EA assets. I dont use any maxis textures or I don't edit game meshes. So, I own all the assets which EA cannot decide to make it free, as I got approved from a lawyer too." but when I reviewed the EA charter, I interpret the rule as any content made for EA games cannot require payment. Am I misinterpreting? Are they really protected if they're not using any EA meshes in their creations, but their content is still exclusively Sims 4 CC to be used in game? They are not advertising any of their content as simply "3d models."
Thank you!!
