Resetting when selecting call to meal/grab serving/get leftovers

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.96.365.1030 (plus recent update for tooth loss loss)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All Expansions, All Games packs except Journey to batuu, All Stuff packs
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? After cooking a meal or at the fridge
What happens when the bug occurs? When sims are called to meal or you select grab a serving sims will gather at the meal/plate and reset themselves. If you place the meal into the fridge and select get leftovers sims will go to the fridge and reset themselves. Stay over guests can not eat either as they keep resetting themselves at the fridge as they are trying to grab leftovers.
What do you expect to see? I expect my sims to be able to eat the meals/food they prepare for themselves and family. As it is my sims can only eat by getting a quick meal and their stay over guests can not eat either and is a bit disappointing as i will not be able to use a feature in growing together as i don't want my sims guests starving to death while staying with my sims.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I noticed the issue when the Tooth Loss Loss update came. After I updated my sims keep resetting when i select call to meal/grab a serving/get leftovers.

I would attach a picture but it's a very quick animation but when the sims go to the fridge or meal I will select call to meal/grab a serving/get leftovers my sims will go to the meal/plate/fridge and they will stand in front the item, the action will cancels and the sims will do a quick t-pose and reset themselves.

    @cmbaker16 Adding on- I did try repairing my game to fix the issue but it is still happening after repairing.

    Hi @cmbaker16 

    Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    After renaming, repair your game by clicking on the dots in EA app.

    Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

    The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

    I know this is an old post but i have started having this exact problem today. 

    I played through 4 days. On days 1-3, they were able to eat just fine. On the 4th is when the problem started.

    They can get quick meals just fine and the vampire can get plasma packs.

    This only happened on their home lot. When on their business lot, they are able to get and eat prepared meals from the break room fridge.

    I loaded into another lot and the sim was able to eat as well.

    I have moved my family to a new lot but have not yet been able to test.

    I have no mods installed and no cc.

    I just tested the same famil on a new lot. In different houses, including their original one. They are still unable to get prepared meals. They reset every time regardless of whether the meal is on a counter or in the fridge.
