Hi, I need some help with my save files. Earlier I accidentally moved my save files into my "scratch" file when the game was open by accident. Anyway, it took me FOREVER to find those files on my hard five and I found them through a file recovery app. When I put the files back into the save destination, and opened the game the thumbnail was grey and the game will not load.

it's possible that the file got corrupted, especially if you used a recovery app.
Could you post a pic of your saves folder ? Do you maybe still have a proper backup of the save in there ? If you just moved the save file into the scratch folder, there's chances the the autobackups are still fine.

It's a bit strange that you only have one active save files in your folder (one is a backup) but on the menu you have two showing.
Are you on Windows and are you using oneDrive ? Could you check which folder the game actually uses as per instructions here:

Also find out what the names of those saves are that show on your load menu by hovering that icon with the blue squares.
