Save won't load

My current save won't load.  The game launches but when I click to play my current house hold I get the blue loading screen and it just stays there. It won't actually load the save. I've waited several hours on multiple occasions.

I googled trying to find a solution and it said I needed to update my mods or cc but I don't play with mods or cc. The last time I was able to successfully play I added 2 horses to my household. I'm not sure if that would cause it not to load. Is there anything I can do or do I just need to start over?

    Hey crinrict​ 

    This is happening to me too. It opens as usual but when I try to resume game or load one of my saves, it loads indefinitely. I have to end the game using task manager. It becomes completely unresponsive. This has been happening since Monday. Last night, when I tried to play, I was notified of the update, which disabled mods and cc, but still infinite loading when I try to load a game.

    yeah, you don't need them but you don't need to upload those as only EA can read them.

    Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

     

    - Delete the ones you have

    - Trigger the error again

    - Check if new ones are created

    - If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.

     

    Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.

    Yes I can start a new save and when I go out of the new save I am able to successfully launch the new save.
