School day, work day ends early when traveling with another Sim

Since the latest game update, I’ve encountered the following issue:

When some Sims in my household are away at school or work (e.g., children at school, adults at their jobs) and I travel with another active Sim, whether to an active career lot or just a regular community lot, all other Sims who were at work or school instantly return home, even though their workday or school day isn’t over yet.

As a result, they lose performance: for example, school performance for children or job performance for adults.

This happens every time I travel with a household Sim while others are still away.

I’d appreciate any info on whether this bug is known and if there is a solution or workaround.
