Did as instructed. Had her ask every single coworker I could for a crystal and a metal. Results are 1/8 did actually give me a crystal but nothing else. Not sure if everyone just hates my sim or she's ridiculously unlucky? Like she does have the evil and grouch traits but she is good friends with all of them and never once been mean to them...
