Sim Gets Charged for Social Media Interactions

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.66.139.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Journey to Batuu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Selecting "Update Social Media Status" or "Share an Image" on a Sims computer
What happens when the bug occurs? 25 Simoleons are deducted from my Sim's household funds each time she updates her social media status or shares an image via a computer
What do you expect to see? No Simoleons deducted when my Sim does anything involving social media
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Everything was normal until this afternoon when I was playing the Sims and my Sim keeps getting charged when she attempts to update her social media. Not sure why this is going on?

@MeanJellybean24 it sounds like maybe the neighbourhood voted in the Back to the Old Days neighbourhood action plan, and that fines you whenever your sims use technology like computers. You can read its description in the Community Voting board UI.

@simvasion That's what I had assumed, but when I moved my Sim to another neighborhood that DIDN'T have the Old Days NAP, she was still getting fined for everything. Repaired the game and no change.

@MeanJellybean24 Does it just happen to that particular Sim ? Like if you play another family in the same hood for testing, do you also get charged ?

@MeanJellybean24This is related to NAP Autonomy Commodities Incorrectly Being Saved On Sims

N.A.P. commodities get stuck on Sims when moving.

@MeanJellybean24 Did you test out if that's your actual issue and not something else by testing another Sim in another neighborhood as suggested above ?

As your not opposed to mods, I would suggest running the basemental NAP mod fix on your save to see if it solves the problem (Google: Basemental Stuck N.A.P's Fix)

I’m having this same issue I moved out of the neighborhood that had that NAP but my sim still gets charged $25 every time she watches tv.

Have you checked the NAP of the new neighbourhood?
